Who we are

I'm Joe — husband, father, researcher, and treasure hunter.

Buried Expectations started as a YouTube channel documenting what I was finding for treasure hunting friends interested in the Superstition Mountains, but not local to the area. It's grown into a platform where I share research, curate and sell quality treasure hunting books, and offer merch for those kind enough to support the work. We also offer hand-made salves (by me!) to keep those dry desert winds from destroying your delicate skin.

I'm a Masonic Knight Templar and contributing author to the Knight Templar Magazine. I'm also the youngest member of Bob Brewer's Knights of the Golden Circle research team — spending time in archives and wherever the evidence takes me, following leads on everything from Confederate caches to ancient lost symbols.
